Dichotic Sentences Test Performance of Adults with communication complaints

ABSTRACT Purpose To analyze the performance of normal-hearing adults with communication complaints in Dichotic Sentences Test. Methods We selected from database 15 participants normal results Digits Test, aged between 19 and 44 years, right-handed, who reported communicative complaints. The Test was applied using two protocols consisting four different combinations lists called sequences 1 2, following order: training, divided attention step, right left directed steps. Results In first application sequence, average step 84.7% for ear 60.67% left, statistical difference ears. asymmetry ears varied -50% to 60%. 99.33% 98% no difference. second there a tendency better results, more pronounced ear, significance, variation remaining high. comparison sequences, it found that, 40% individuals did not vary, 33% performed worse, 26.7% better; 6.6% 20% 73.33% better. There result stability step. Conclusion presented heterogeneous profile, especially marked response variability.
